All products manufactured by Simply Chintastic! are made of quality, NEW materials that are considered safe for chinchillas.  We use untreated kiln-dried pine lumber and non-toxic wood glue for assembly of our wooden items.  Polar fleece is considered generally safe for chinchillas as it does not ravel when chewed (strings from other fabrics can pose an ingestion hazard).  All items are made with loving hands by chinchilla owners.

Always monitor your chinchilla's use of our products and remove any fabric items if your chin begins chewing them for his or her own safety.

Simply Chintastic! is not a major manufacturer.  Each item is custom built just for your order, to insure the utmost in quality, one of our primary goals.  Currently, orders are taking from 4 to 16 weeks to process, on average, depending upon what items are ordered. With the colder weather here in Michigan, orders are taking longer to process.  Some of our items are fairly labor-intensive and take longer to build.  Rest assured, that orders are processed in the order they are received.

With this in mind, we ask for your patience while your order is being filled.  Building top-quality items can take some time.  We fill orders in the order in which they are received.  Depending upon the number of orders and their size, it may take time to complete your order.  Please keep in mind, that there may be orders ahead of yours when you place an order.

We encourage you to check the status of your order at any time.  We'll be happy to get back with you with an estimate on when you can expect to receive your order.  Please keep in mind that it is only an estimate and not a guarantee.

Please note:   Because wood is a natural product, some variances in the appearance of the actual item you receive will occur.

Effective June 1, 2009:  All orders $50.00 or more, and any order containing custom-sized shelving require a 50% non-refundable deposit, payable by check or money order (only).  Orders requiring a deposit will not become active until the deposit is received.  The balance of the order total is due once we notify you of the entire total (including shipping) and may be paid by check, money order or PayPal.  Both the deposit and remaining balance are due within 14 days of notification.

We appreciate your understanding with this policy change, but it is due to several orders not being paid for once they were completed. This holds up orders for other customers and leaves us with items that are custom that we cannot use to fill orders.

Orders for Michigan residents are subject to 6% Michigan state sales tax.
