Plain corner shelves are a great addition to your chinchilla's
environment. Chinchillas need plenty of places to leap from place to place, as that
is their instinct. The inside corner has been rounded for safety so there are no
sharp edges to hurt your chin. All shelves come standard with 1" high wooden
edging which helps contain droppings inside the cage. You may upgrade your shelves
with deluxe edging which is 2" high for an additional fee. Corner shelves are
available 8" x 8" and 9" x 9" and all shelves come complete with all
necessary mounting hardware. All you need is a screwdriver to install them.

Custom-Sized Shelf
Custom-sized wooden shelving is great for creating your own cage
layout, replacing wire shelving which is hard on little feet or replacing damaged existing
wooden shelves. You tell us what you need, we make the shelves to fit your chin's
cage. All shelves come standard with 1" high wooden edging which helps contain
droppings inside the cage. You may upgrade your shelves with deluxe edging which is
2" high for an additional fee. Pictured is an 18" shelf designed to take
up the entire end of a cage. It fastens to both the front, back and side of the
cage. All shelves are made of kiln-dried 1" pine lumber (3/4" actual
thickness). Install these shelves in just minutes with just a screwdriver and the
included mounting hardware. Custom shelves are available 8 inches wide and in any
length.
Chillin' Ledge
The Chillin' Ledge is a safe way to offer an elevated cool spot
for your chin to "chill". This innovative corner shelf features an 8"
x 8" white ceramic tile that cannot fall off a shelf and injure your
chinchilla. Overall measurements of this shelf are approximately 9-1/4" x
9-1/4". It is designed to securely attach in the corner of any cage with the
supplied mounting hardware. The deluxe version features 2" high outer edges to
help contain droppings. The inner edges of both versions of this shelf extend
approximately 1/8" above the height of the tile to keep the ceramic tile firmly in
place. The underside of this shelf has a 1 inch hole so that the tile can be
released for quick and easy lift-out of the tile for cleaning when necessary. The
shelf without edging may also be placed on the floor of the cage if you wish.
Deluxe Corner Diner Shelf
Similar to our regular corner food dish shelf, this version
allows two chins to dine from the dish at once, or you may use it with a single chinchilla
to provide a place to eat and access to another shelf. This shelf measures
11-1/4" x 11-1/4" with a 6" x 6" food dish holder.
Sitting/leaping areas are 5-1/4" x 5-1/4". All necessary mounting
hardware is included, and the shelf may be ordered with or without the crock dish.
The Double Diner Shelf
Have two chins that can't seem to share the food dish?
Want a dish for pellets and one for hay or supplement? This shelf is a great way to
accommodate those picky chins or make life easier for yourself (or both!). Designed
to span a whole wall of a cage, mounting on three adjacent sides of your chin's cage, the
double diner shelf holds the food dishes securely so they are not knocked off on the
floor, wasting food or possibly injuring your chinchilla. This shelf is availble in
whatever size you need for your cage from a minimum of 24" long. Made of
kiln-dried pine, this diner shelf measures 8" wide (pictured shelf is 30" long,
overall). Shelf may be purchased with or without the crock dishes.
Corner Shelf Food Dish
Does your chinchilla constantly dump it's dish? Do you
constantly find litter skittered into the food dish from the floor of the cage? The corner
shelf food dish holds the dish securely in place and gives your chin a place to sit and
eat in comfort, while keeping the dish from being spilled over or loose litter
accumulating in the dish from your chin's merry romps around the cage! This original
design, measuring approximately 9" x 9", is made of kiln-dried pine and includes
the mounting hardware. A screwdriver is all you need to install it. The
design of this shelf securely holds the dish in place, while allowing you to easily remove
it for cleaning and refilling. Available with or without the crock dish.
Custom-Sized Food Dish Shelf
Available also are custom-sized shelves with the food dish
feature. These are a spin-off of our original design corner food dish shelf, for
those wanting a larger shelf. Pictured above is an 8" wide, 18" long shelf
that attaches to three sides of the cage. These can be customized to fit any cage,
all that is needed are the dimensions of your cage! The dish holder can be placed on
either the left or the right side of the shelf. Available with or without the crock
dish.
