is ideal for cages without a lot of extra room for accessories. The Tunnel Home
features two 1-5/8" round windows on the side facing into the cage, as well as a
1" extension of the back side to help contain droppings in the cage. The
measurements of this item are 11" x 8" x 9". The Tunnel Home has a
solid wood floor and each end has an arched doorway. The Tunnel Home mounts
securely to the side of any cage with provided hardware. You may also choose to
customize your Tunnel Home by adding a 4" diameter "Peek-A-Boo" hole in the
roof for an additional fee. No hardware is used in the construction of this item, so
it's safe for chinnies to chew to their heart's delight. Some houses from pet stores
are assembled with nails that are dangerous when exposed by the natural chewing instinct
of your chinchilla. For your chin's safety, we recommend strategic placement of shelving
or ledges below the Tunnel Home at each end so there is somewhere to jump into and out of
the Tunnel Home. This item may also be placed on the floor of the cage instead of
mounted or used as an out of cage playtime toy.
Chinchilla Manor
A super-sized version of our regular Hidey House, this house is sure to be roomy enough
for the largest of chins or a pair. Measurements of this house are a generous
14" x 8" x 8". Like the original Hidey House, this house is made of
3/4" thick kiln-dried pine, and features a flat roof for an additional place for your
chin to perch. The doorway and window configurations can be made in reverse of what
is pictured, upon request at no additional charge. Also upon request, the smaller
1-5/8" diameter window shown on other houses may be substituted for the standard
4" window. If you choose, you may further customize your house by adding a
4" diameter "Peek-A-Boo" roof hole on either end or in the center of the
roof, for an additional fee. Unless otherwise requested, the "Peek-A-Boo"
roof hole will be placed on the end above the front doorway. No hardware is used in
the construction of this house, so it's safe for chinnies to chew to their heart's
delight. Some houses from pet stores are assembled with nails that are dangerous
when exposed by the natural chewing instinct of your chinchilla. Hardware is
available for an additional charge if you would like to attach the house to the side of
the cage. This item can also be converted to a super-sized Mountain Lodge style
house.
Chinchilla Manor Daybed
The Chinchilla Manor Daybed is a larger version of our Daybed House and is
perfect for larger chins, a pair, or single chins who enjoy sleeping sprawled out.
The overall size is approximately 14" x 8" x 10" inches, made from a
solid-construction of 3/4" thick kiln-dried pine. No hardware is used in the
construction of this house, so it's safe for chinnies to chew to their heart's delight.
The only hardware is a clip and a screw-eye to attach the Pilla to the top (on the
back side of the house). Some houses from pet stores are assembled with nails that
are dangerous when exposed by the natural chewing instinct of your chinchilla. This
item is available with your choice of headboard style (see the Daybed
for selections) and fabric choice (see fabric
selections page). It is available with or without the window. The smaller
1-5/8" diameter window shown on other houses may also be substituted for the standard
4" window upon request. Also upon request, the doorway and window
configurations can be made in reverse of what is pictured at no additional charge.
Hardware is available for an additional charge if you would like to attach the house to
the side of the cage. Do you already have a house or does your chin not care to use
a house? Consider treating your chin to our original Daybed!
The Chin Cave
The Chin Cave is the perfect sleeping spot for chinchillas that prefer to
be totally hidden away. Two 1-5/8" diameter windows on each side provide
ventilation, but are small enough that your chinchilla still feels enclosed. This
secluded retreat for your chinchilla measures approximately 11" x 8" x 9"
and features a solid-wooden floor. This house can be mounted on the side of the cage
with optional mounting hardware, available for a small additional charge. Due to the
fact that this house has only one doorway, we recommend this item for single chinchillas
only. You may choose to customize your house by adding a 4" diameter
"Peek-A-Boo" roof hole on either end or in the center of the roof, for an
additional fee. Unless otherwise requested, the "Peek-A-Boo" roof hole
will be placed on the end opposite the doorway. No hardware is used in the
construction of this house, so it's safe for chinnies to chew to their heart's
delight. Some houses from pet stores are assembled with nails that are dangerous
when exposed by the natural chewing instinct of your chinchilla.
Hay Boxes
Add to your chin's accessories with a cute and useful
hay box in your choice of design. Each hay box measures approximately
8" x 3-1/2" x 7" overall, with a hay area 4" high and
2" deep. The front shaped cutouts are approximately 1-3/8".
These hay boxes are designed to make it difficult for your chin to sit on top of
their hay and soil it. Mount one or two to the wall of your chin's cage
with hardware supplied with each box. Please specify which design you'd
like when ordering. Mountain Lodge
Designed to mount in the corner of a cage, the Mountain Lodge is our
standard Hidey House with a companion mounting shelf so you can place the house high in
the cage where many chinchillas prefer to sleep. The house itself measures
approximately 11" x 8" x 8", and is shown here with an optional 4"
diameter "Peek-A-Boo" roof hole and optional 1-5/8" diameter window.
The house features two arched dooways, both leading to the porch formed by the
shelf. The shelf measures approximately 11" x 17" so there is plenty of
porch space for your chinchilla to safely leap onto it from another nearby ledge.
The corner of the shelf is rounded so there are no sharp edges for your chinchilla to leap
into and injure itself. The house fastens to the side of the cage with a hanger
bolt, washer and wing nut, so it is secure on the shelf and cannot fall off, yet it's easy
to remove for cleaning inside. All necessary hardware for mounting the shelf and the
house is included. This house and shelf combination can be made in reverse of what
is shown upon request at no additional charge. Unless otherwise requested, the
optional "Peek-A-Boo roof hole will be placed on the end above the front
doorway. This item can also be made in a larger size with the Manor House and an
11" x 20" shelf.
Mountain Lodge Manor
Designed to mount in the corner of a cage, the
Mountain Manor Lodge is our Chinchilla Manor house with a companion mounting
shelf so you can place the house high in the cage where many chinchillas prefer
to sleep. The house itself measures a generous 14" x 8" x
8", a perfect size for two chinchillas, and is shown here with an optional
4" diameter "Peek-A-Boo" roof hole. Another available
option is a 1-5/8" diameter window on the front of the house (see Mountain
Lodge for approximate placement). The house features two arched doorways,
both leading to the porch formed by the shelf. The shelf measures
approximately 11" x 21" so there is plenty of porch space for your
chinchilla to safely leap onto it from another nearby ledge. The corner of
the shelf is rounded so there are no sharp edges for your chinchilla to leap
into and injure itself. The house fastens to the side of the cage with a
hanger bolt, washer and wing nut, so it is secure on the shelf and cannot fall
off, yet it's easy to remove for cleaning inside. This house and shelf
combination can be made in reverse of what is shown at no additional charge.
Please specify if you would like the house on the left or the right end of the
shelf when ordering. Unless otherwise requested, the optional
"Peek-A-Boo roof hole will be placed on the end above the front doorway. |
